CSY Community: Introducing Sybil Antoniak

How did you discover yoga and how long have you been practicing?

I discovered yoga – or rather it discovered me – through my daughter-in-law  – originally 5 years ago – it seemed like it might be a good idea at the time.

Why do you continue to practice yoga? And how has your yoga practice shaped or affected your life?

Yoga brings me peace – a peace that spills over into my day-to-day life – not just on my yoga mat.

 How does yoga make you feel?

This is the first time that I have been able to do a physical activity with my body and feel competent, comfortable and confident.

I feel at home in my body. My ability to focus comes with more ease.

What is your favourite yoga asana/pose and why?

Tadasana (mountain posture) feels good and seems to correct my posture,  however, legs up the wall are my special favourite.   I read my book club books in this pose and no one has caught me yet!   In my practice of yoga, there seem to be no do’s and no don’ts.

Why do you practice at Creating Space Yoga Studio?

Robyn has a quiet confidence that makes me a believer.  Thank you Robyn for helping me "create space" in my body and my life
